Presentation Description: Science and literacy through technology based simulations prepares teachers to use the inquiry process and simulations to support the development of deeper student understanding of important science concepts and demonstrate that understanding through literacy components. The instructor will model best practices for teaching with simulations in science including a project based approach that allows students to demonstrate understanding through deliverables. Teachers will become more skillful in using inquiry methods of instruction, which encourage students to ask questions, make observations, and construct reasonable explanations.
