Have you ever wondered how to encourage your young students to utilize their creativity and summarize what they are learning in the classroom? In this class, attendees will be introduced to three applications that can help children engage in the learning process and be creative at the same time. Attendees will be introduced to the applications and will have an opportunity to create a project during the class. If you are ready to get your creative juices flowing, come on in and learn how to become a tiny techy! Don't forget to bring your iPad to participate in the fun!

How Can Teachers Use NASA On-line Resources to Teach STEM Concepts?
Teachers will: (1) be introduced to on-line NASA STEM classroom resources with the emphasis placed on Earth and Solar System Missions, (2) be shown how to create both student & teacher-led NASA computer presentations, (3) learn how to use NASA STEM resources to increase student STEM learning, (4) explore information and teaching resources about the "Total Solar Eclipse" to occur in South Carolina on 08.21.17 and (5) experience a computer-based presentation about NASA's latest missions to explore our Moon (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) and Mars (MAVEN).

Discus and Google – Two Great Tools for Educators and Students
Join us as we explore the integration of Google tools with Discus – South Carolina’s Virtual Library. Learn how CultureGrams, Gale, Credo Reference and select EBSCO resources are integrated into Google Drive and Google Classroom. Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own devices to the session to allow the opportunity to search and download articles, videos, recordings, images, and maps from Discus into Google tools.
