CANCELLED: SketchNotes​: Adapting Direct Instruction for 21st Century Learners
SketchNotes are a form of graphic note-taking that helps students during lecture-type lessons. This PD will explain the importance of adapting your direct instruction techniques to meet the needs of a 21st century student by exploring the research behind SketchNotes, examples of student work, and allowing you the chance to create your own. You will also be provided with various apps and websites that allow you to use SketchNoting in a 1:1 classroom.

Nearpod is an exciting tool that allows you to bring interactive lessons from the board straight into the hands of your students. If you are tired of power point and need a more efficient way to engage and receive immediate feedback, this session is for you! Students use iPads/tablets/laptops or Chromebooks to engage in the Nearpod lesson. We will show you how easy it is to create an interactive lesson using this tool, that your students will LOVE.
